Stitch produces truly cross-media projects

We are pleased to announce our recent enthusiastic support from OMNI’s Independent Producer’s Initiative and the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund providing funding for “We Stand on Guard for Thee?” our first three-part documentary and interactive to deliver and launch by winter of 2009.

Based on great experiences with our TV partners in previous projects, we can now apply our own “best practices” towards this latest project. As a cross-media production company, this is an exciting time for Stitch Media as we look forward to producing both the documentary and interactive together with our own creative team.

About the project:

“We Stand on Guard for Thee?” for OMNI Television: 3 x 24 minutes

This series explores Chinese Canadians involved in seeking redress from the Chinese Head Tax and Exclusion Act in Canada. Through interviews and archival footage, the message about community activism and those who stood on guard for justice will be explored.

“We Stand” Interactive

This multilingual online experience is a “living documentary” that continues to gather UGC video from the stakeholders and audience via their webcams. Character interactive interviews allow users to choose questions that trigger responses.
