Stitch is going to Sheffield

Stitch is excited about attending the Sheffield Doc/Fest November 4-8.sheffdocfest

Sheffield Doc/Fest brings the international documentary community together to discuss the art and business of documentary making for five days in November. Doc/Fest is a film festival, industry session programme and marketplace, offering pitching opportunities, controversial discussion panels and in-depth filmmaker masterclasses, as well as a wealth of inspirational documentary films from across the globe.

Evan and Victoria were invited to attend by Frank Boyd for the festival’s Crossover Summit, an international programme designed to explore the creative and the commercial challenges of developing content and services for digital media.

Crossover is a unique series of creative ‘laboratories’ in which experienced and talented professionals from different sectors of the audio-visual industries work alongside international experts and mentors to develop ideas for innovative cross-platform programmes, products or services.

Speaking at this year’s summit will be Steven Johnson who will highlight some of the challenges for producers of film, TV, games and new media trying to reach new audiences on new platforms. Johnson did this great Ted Talk and hates Candyland.
